Who We Are
Bitan Email Verify is a browser extension published by Bitan Bhattacherjee (“we”, “us”, “our”).
What Data We Handle
API Key
Your MillionVerifier API key is entered by you and stored locally using chrome.storage.local so the extension can call the MillionVerifier API on your behalf. The key is never transmitted to us or any server other than the MillionVerifier endpoints you explicitly use.
Email Addresses (Single Verify)
When you click Verify, the email address you type is sent from your browser directly to MillionVerifier’s Single API endpoint via HTTPS. We do not receive a copy.
Bulk Files (Bulk Verify)
When you upload a CSV/TXT for bulk verification, the file is sent directly from your browser to MillionVerifier’s Bulk API. Progress and results are retrieved via their API. You may delete the uploaded file using the Delete File button in the extension. We do not host or retain your files.
Local Session Data
The extension keeps a temporary in-session history table to help you export recent results to CSV. This history is stored only in your extension context and can be cleared at any time using the Clear button or by closing the popup.
Third-Party Service
